About The Village

The Pioneer Village is a collection of early 1800's cabins which are all original to the Caesar's Creek Lake area. On the property we have two original buildings which are the Luken's Cabin which is located at the front of the property and the Luken's Barn which is the Big Red Barn located in front of the Kitchen. All of the other buildings have come from around the area as the Caesar Creek Lake and Park were being created.

The Village is completed self funded with our money all coming from the events which we have and donations from our visitors and the surrounding communities. The members of the Village also contribute much of their own money to the preservation of the Village and the changes which you see around the village.

Without these generous donations and admissions charges to our events, the Village would struggle to survive as we receive no funding at all at the State or Federal Level. We greatly appreciate everyone who supports the Village and wants to help us preserve it for many generations to come.

If you would like to learn more about the individual buildings, select the Cabins & Buildings link. We currently have some information and are adding more and more to each building on a regular basis.

Private Events:

The Village can be rented for Private events. We have hosted a lot of different events and it is also an amazing place to have your wedding as we have room for both small and large weddings and some amazing spots for your wedding photos. When you book your event with us, you have the options of bringing in your own caterers or having the village handle all of your cooking needs. We have a full kitchen and also our BBQ pit with which to make some amazing food (and we also have some very accomplished cooks/chefs associated with the Village who bring many years of experience with them).

If you are interested in talking with us about having your event at the Village, please reach out to us by email and we will get back in touch with you to discuss all the details.

Hours
The Pioneer Village Property itself is open every day from dawn to dusk. Feel free to go through the village at these times and check out the buildings and peek inside the windows.

The buildings at the Pioneer Village are only open during our events though and for those times you will want to check the individual event page although they are generally from 10 am to 5 pm during the events. The only time are Buildings will be closed during an event are Habitat for Humanity as that event concentrates on working around the village.

Occasionally you may be able to find one of our Buildings open as our House Parents will be out there working on their cabins from time to time. If you do see cabins open during, just knock as you come in to give our House Parent a forewarning that you are there and they will welcome you with open arms.

If at any time you have any questions about the village, feel free to approach anyone in the cabins or anyone working around the village. We are all very willing to talk about the village and answer any questions you may have.
